What do I need to prepare for my investment property return?
INCOME
- Real estate agent fees – yearly statement
- Insurance recoveries
- Other income
EXPENSES
- Advertising costs
- Body Corporate Fees
- Costs incurred to maintain the property, including but not limited to cleaning and cleaning products.
- Council Rates
- Fee to obtain Quantity Surveyors Report
- Fees charged by the bank
- Gardening & Mowing Costs
- Gifts to tenants upon your visit.
- Insurance Fees
- Interest Paid on the loans, so please bring in the Loan statement for the year.
- Internet & telephone expenses
- Land Tax
- Legal Fees
- Postage, telephone and stationery costs of your investment
- Printing & Stationary as well office equipment purchased to maintain bookkeeping etc.
- Protective clothing bought to maintain the property
- Repairs to the investment property
- Water Rates
- We also suggest that your provide us with a contract of purchase and a statement of adjustment.
Please note that you must have kept proper records and logs of those expenses.
